Getting Started

The default mode is 'General Query'. Use this for simple questions or chatting without a specific drafting template. For specialized results, always select a mode from the (+) menu.
Click the 'New Task' button in the header or refresh the page. This securely wipes the previous chat context and unloads any attached files.

Pricing & Billing
Higher recharge tiers (Rs. 5,000 or Rs. 10,000) offer significant value. They typically come with Bonus Credits, effectively lowering the cost per document. It also ensures uninterrupted service for heavy usage without frequent payments.
VakilAI operates on a pay-per-use credit model. Different tasks consume different amounts of credits (e.g., Drafting a Petition costs more than a General Query). You can view the specific pricing on the 'Price' page.
Credits are generally valid for a specific period (e.g., 1 year) or as defined in the specific recharge pack. Please check the 'Price' page for the validity period of your specific plan.

Technical
The Notes field is for your instructions. For Drafting, put facts here. For Research, put your query here. For Q&A, put your questions here.
Specific modes require a minimum number of files. For example, 'Draft Appeal' requires at least 1 file (the judgment). Please upload the required file to proceed.
Each task has a file limit (usually 4). If you uploaded more than the allowed limit for that specific task, please remove some files and try again.
Please wait for the file upload badge (red circle) to appear on the paperclip icon before clicking Send. Large files may take a moment to attach.
If you have a specialized link for 'free_compliance', you can use that specific mode without credit deduction. Otherwise, standard wallet balance rules apply.
Refreshing the page acts as a 'Soft Reset'. It clears the chat history and removes uploaded files to ensure you don't accidentally mix data between different client cases.
The AI processes files for the duration of the session to generate the response. Once you refresh or start a new task, the temporary session data is cleared.
The system cannot read password-protected files. Please remove the password and re-upload the file.
Most documents are generated within 30 to 60 seconds. Larger files or deep research tasks may take slightly longer.
Ensure your browser allows pop-ups/scripts. If the issue persists, refresh the page.
Billing
A General Query is the most affordable option. Costs increase for specialized tasks like Drafting or Deep Research.
If your balance is below the required amount for a task (e.g., drafting a petition), the system will ask you to recharge before proceeding.
Credits are consumed upon processing. If the output is poor due to lack of input details, try providing more specific facts in the Notes. System errors may be eligible for support review.
