When you submit a query or upload a document, the data is transmitted via secure, encrypted API channels (TLS 1.2+) to OpenAI or Google for processing. By using our service, you consent to this data transmission.
5.2 VakilAI Zero-Retention Policy
VakilAI implements a strict Zero-Retention Policy designed for privacy-conscious enterprises and professionals:
Questions & Documents: Your uploaded documents and input queries are not stored permanently on our servers. They are processed in temporary memory solely for the purpose of generating the response and are automatically deleted immediately after processing or upon the completion of the active task.
Generated Responses: The drafts, summaries, and answers generated by the system are retained for a strictly limited period of 3 days. This short retention window is provided solely to allow you to download, retrieve, or archive your work. After 3 days, these files are permanently purged from our systems.
Instant Deletion Option: Users have the option to request instant deletion of generated documents on-demand.
5.3 Data Retention by AI Providers
Our AI Providers (OpenAI and Google) operate under specific enterprise privacy policies. Generally, they do not use API data to train their models. However, they may retain data for a limited period (typically up to 30 days) solely for abuse monitoring and security purposes, after which it is deleted.

We employ industry-standard security measures to protect your data.
Transmission Security: All data transmitted between your browser, our servers, and the AI Providers is encrypted via TLS 1.2+.
Non-Disclosure: We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes. Data is shared with AI Providers solely for the functional purpose of generating responses.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall Patodia Infotech, its affiliates, directors, or employees be liable for any indirect, punitive, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, including without limitation damages for loss of profits, goodwill, use, data, or other intangible losses, arising out of or relating to the use of, or inability to use, this service.
Specifically, we are not liable for:
Inaccuracies in legal research or drafting generated by the AI.
Missed deadlines or financial losses resulting from reliance on the generated content.
Service interruptions caused by the downtime of third-party API providers.
8. Modifications to Terms

9. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

Any dispute arising out of or in connection with this agreement shall first be attempted to be settled amicably. Failing which, it shall be referred to Arbitration conducted as per the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996. The venue of Arbitration shall be Bangalore, Karnataka. The language of arbitration shall be English. The courts in Bangalore shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
